Timber Worktops

Nothing quite beats the natural warmth and feel of real wood in the home, and timber provides a durable option for your new kitchen. We offer an extensive selection of over 18 species – from the classical Oak to the more unusual Bamboo, Zebrano, or the rich, dark tones of Wenge.

Standard worktops are in the traditional 40mm staves – or for the more luxurious look some species are also available in a 90mm full stave range – where the staves of timber run the entire length of the worktop.

Timber can also work well when used as a contrast against many other worktop materials. A popular choice can be to inject a design feature incorporating a piece of timber within the kitchen. This might be on an island or peninsula, or simply some timber shelves. Talk to your designer about incorporating timber into your new kitchen.

All timber worktops we supply are sourced from timber that has been logged from sustainable forests with well-established replanting programmes. European species carry FSC certification and American species PEFC certification.

As with any timber there is an element of maintenance involved to keep it looking at its best – but this is a relatively straight forward process, and we believe that the charm and character of timber far outweighs this need.

Every timber surface is unique as no two pieces of wood share the same grain, meaning each worktop will have its own natural character; even more so with the multiple possibilities available for design and composition.

Once sealed after installation, your timber surface will also be water resistant. However, we advise that timber worksurfaces should be re-oiled at regular intervals, depending on use, to maintain its beauty, characteristics and water resistance.
