We are currently expanding our business and will shortly be opening an extension to our showroom, with the addition of fitted bedrooms. In order to expand our fitting capacity we currently have the following employment opportunities:

Kitchen & Bedroom Fitter (Full Time)

The Kitchen Workshop is an independent Island company, focused on manufacturing quality kitchens, along with a high quality installation service and first class customer service.

We are currently looking for a highly motivated and capable individual to join our fitting team, working as a lead fitter in the installation of kitchens and bedrooms. You will need to have previous fitting experience and be able to work on your own, or as part of a team. You will be responsible for ensuring that the installation runs smoothly and efficiently, ensuring that the kitchen is installed to the high standard expected by the company.

Key Skills/Attributes:

  • Able to deliver first-class customer service and build up a good customer rapport
  • Able to coach and train others to develop their skills
  • Experience of using hand/power tools

The applicant will need to have a comprehensive experience in the installation of kitchens.

40 hours per week. Mon to Fri 08:00 - 17:00.

Due to the nature of our business you will, on occasions be required to work additional hours/days to suit the needs of the business, including occasional Saturdays.

Driving licence required. Company van provided.

Ideally successful applicant with have their own suitable tools.

Salary is subject to experience, circa £28k - £30k per annum. Company pension scheme. 28 days holiday entitlement per annum.

Trainee Kitchen & Bedroom Fitter (Full Time)

The Kitchen Workshop is an independent Island company, focused on manufacturing quality kitchens, along with a high quality installation service and first class customer service.

We are currently looking for a highly motivated and capable individual to join our fitting team, working as part of a team in the installation of kitchens.  You will be required to learn all the various aspects of kitchen fitting on your path to becoming a fully trained fitter.  The company will give you a structured training and will record and track your progress.

In addition to working onsite our fitting team is also trained in our workshop in the manufacturer of kitchens.  You will be trained to use all the various machinery in the process of the cutting and manufacturer of kitchens.

Wherever you work within the company you will be expected to ensure that the high standards set by the company are adhered to.

  • Knowledge of carpentry

The applicant will need to have some form of previous carpentry experience or a qualification relevant to carpentry.

Workshop & Fitting Assistant (Full Time)

The Kitchen Workshop is an independent Island company, focused on manufacturing quality kitchens and bedrooms, along with a high quality installation service and first class customer service.

We are currently looking for a highly motivated and capable individual to join our team, working within our workshop in the manufacturer and assembly of kitchens and bedrooms.  You will be required to carry out all the various aspects of kitchen and bedroom manufacturer, from the cutting and assembly, right through to the loading and delivery to site.  In addition to working in our workshop you will also be required, when needed, to spend time on site assisting the installation team in the fitting of kitchens and bedrooms.  The company will give you a structured training and will record and track your progress.

Wherever you work within the company you will be expected to ensure that the high standards set by the company are adhered to.
